About:
Jack Kirchhoff-Future in Journalism
Hi, I am Jack Kirchhoff from Dixon, California, a rural town in northern California, where I lived my entire life until I pursued my passion for sports and a love of sharing them, setting off for the University of Oklahoma to get a bachelor's in journalism and a minor in Human Relations. I am a dedicated journalist who understands and is committed to the importance of media in the United States, bringing creative, intriguing ways to tell stories. My passion for sports was engraved at a young age, playing baseball, football, and basketball. And baseball competitively until he graduated. During my time at OU, I served as a student manager for the women's softball team, being a part of the 2024 Division I women's softball national championship team. Along with time working for the Team USA Olympic Softball team. I have found ways to translate my time in sports through journalism, soaking up all the knowledge I can in college and professional sports during my time, and informing others on news that is important to the sport! I have done work with OU nightly, and Gameday U, student-run shows at the university, giving me an insight into what a newsroom and production of a show will look like in the real world while covering everything sports at OU and, in some cases, across the country. So I hope to make a career out of sports journalism to not only stay in sports, but to spread news and knowledge for all to consume!
